Websurfer is a dynamic technology company set-up to harness the power of the Internet to provide solutions exclusively for business customers around the world. The Internet represents a high growth market opportunity and corporate applications offer the greatest commercial opportunity. Websurfer UK was formed in October 1996 by Dinesh Vimalanathan and has a strong experienced management with the technical and commercial skills to create an exciting and successful business in the Internet Industry. In the medium term Websurfer UK will undertake strategic acquisitions in the UK as well as joint ventures in the UK and overseas in order to expand the client and product base. The progress of the company has been rapid. In November 1996, Websurfer UK’s first Internet server went into operation and projects were undertaken for Harrods Group, Nexus Communications and European Data Corporation. A sales manager was appointed in March 1997, and Websurfer UK was successful in winning contracts from Colorama, Airborne Express, Conran Group and Bertling. A month later the company opened the West London Internet Connection Center with high speed optic fiber link allowing fast Internet access for corporate clients. Websurfer entered the telecom market by entering into joint ventures, to provide telecom solutions across the globe with its subsidiary companies and partners. Websurfer is very strong in the wireless communication and voice solutions deploying MikroTic and Quintum technologies. We have recently deployed these technologies in Nepal with our sister company Websurfer Nepal Communications Ltd.
