Information Technology Management

  • The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL®) is a series of books that describe methods for implementing and managing information technology (IT) services. The methods described in the library are meant to streamline an organization's IT services by improving on, or implementing, tactics for IT environments such as problem and contingency awareness, cost analysis, and software and hardware management and configuration.

  • Managers need at least a bachelor’s degree in information technology and can benefit from additional business management classes. The business management classes will help with leadership skills, learning to work with others as a team, communication skills, and dealing with conflict in the work place, all of which are skills that any type of manager will need.
